Has anyone got a VIN for their 2014 FFH yet?

Build date in early Nov or delivery date? It normally take about two weeks after the car has been built to get to finial destination. My build week is 11 Nov so at the earliest I would even start looking for my car is the very end of Nov.(I don't really expect to see it until the first or second week of Dec) So for a Delivery of mid-Nov your car would pretty much have to have build date of this week. (although it is possible to get a car delivered in a week or less if you happen to live along a major rail route)

How long does it take to build one? A couple days? Regardless. I thought I heard 11/4 was the earliest they would start building them so like you, I can't see how a mid November delivery date is possible.

Ya, that's what I had figured too. It very well could be that he's confused. Or in his system, the delivery dates are very aggressive and hopeful. I was told when I ordered mine that I should be on the first build, so I'm hopeful for 11/4/13 build date. I am very anxious though. This is my first ford and after the first fiasco I went through (on a 2013 that I ordered that came in without ordered options and the wrong color! And after the deal was cancelled they still had my current car title in their name and the 2013 fusion in my name. So it took a while to sort out.) I decided to try again but wait for a 2014 model.. So hopefully they get it right this time.

 

Either way, I am happy to know I won't have to wait until 2014 to get mine!

Erik, you need to get 15 posts over in the Blue Oval Forum. It's a separate log in. I really wish that there was a unified log in for all of these forums.

Oh Bummer! I just noticed the gentleman who does the look ups is gone for a week soon anyway. I guess I will just wait blindly and hope for a speedy shipment!

Go to this website and enter your VIN.

If you don't get a window sticker, your car hasn't been scheduled yet.

 

If you do get a window sticker, find the date in the bottom center of the sticker. (It's not the one in the margin).

 

Add 7 calendar days to that date and that is your build date if there are no production line problems or mexican holidays during the week.

 

Since my car made it to Philadelphia, PA in exactly two weeks I would think shipping to Colorado would be a week or less.

The only contingency is they need a full railcar, all going to the same destination, before it starts moving.

Murphy beat me to it. Once you get a sticker, which are generated at the end of each week, then the car will be built within a 14 day window. You can check Etis daily after you get the sticker. Once the car is built, within a day it will be on Etis. From there expect a delivery within 2 weeks.

I got my STICKER!!! The date on the bottom is 10/31/13. So technically it could be built next week! So maybe I will have it in the middle of November like my dealer told me.

are you talking about the date on the VERY bottom of the sticker?

That is just the date that you downloaded the sticker.

It changes every day that you download the sticker.

 

there is a code above that that has a date on it. That date is should be about week off your build date.

 

If you look at this vin:3FA6P0RU6DR326330 you will see a date on the bottom of the sticker that says todays date. This car was built on the 6Th of May. the sticker was generated on the 2nd of May

Getting a little miffed at Ford. The L.A. fords will start being built next week and the "build your own" web site still does not have the extra options. I REALLY hope I like the soft ceramic interior, becasue the FIRST time I will see it will be on the lot when my car arrives.

Toz - I'm reading the code above the download date. I first received my sticker today, 11-01-13. But the code above says 10-31-13.

 

Ya, that is one of the few reasons I just went with the black leather interior. My dealer couldn't tell me how that would look at all so I passed up on it.

 

Has anyone else received there sticker yet?

Woohoo! I will keep everyone updated on my car's status. Hopefully everyone else gets their sticker soon too! Let us know when you do, I'm curious to compare timelines.
