My Left Elbow

Recommended Posts

My Fusion should arrive shortly but I'm worried that I'm going to have a problem.

I'm 6'4" and I like to drive with the seat back, my left elbow on the door armrest and my left hand on the steering wheel. Somehow, during my test drives, I couldn't get this position right in the Fusion....even though this isn't usually a problem for me in other cars of all sizes.

Did the interior designers screw up?!!! Any suggestions or comments?

The car arrived and the elbow thing has kind of figured itself out. The car is wider than the Golf and Contour that I'm used to, closer to the Passat that we sometimes get from the VW dealer. Thanks for asking though.

My Sin: I'm denting my drivers door interior right below the window, since this is where I rest my left elbow. There, I feel better now that I've confessed it. I guess the soft padded door panel is no match for my boney elbow.

At least the FFH is padded. When we looked at the Camry Hybrid it would have been worse for you because it's just hard plastic.
