What's your FFH personality?

My last post in the Fuel Milage topic brought up a question for me.

 

What are we refering to when talking about our cars; male, female or genderless?

 

Not sure if I could explain it but for me my FFH was always a she for me while my previous car the HHR was always a he.

Subsequentially I call my FFH "Lady in Red"

My other cars used to get names after a period of time had passed and a certain use or personality popped up.

My Expedition was 'Tug' because I pulled a ski-boat.

My F-350 was 'Hoss' because with 4WD, 36" tires and four corner leaf springs you needed a saddle to stay seated.

My wife hated that truck, had to hold her ta-ta's because it rode so rough when empty - so I had it 12 years. :)

My Mustang GT is 'Gry Sql' because 'Sometimes I feel like a Nut" (and other silly reasons).

 

This FFH hasn't evoked a compulsion to name it yet, but I smile at it a lot and it's so fun & comfortable to drive it won't be long.

The wife is happy with this car. :wub:

My F350 was Rolling Thunder, she was big, and sounded like thunder when I had the hammer down.

 

My Sport reminded me of the first Crown Vic I had, so she was named Vickie, The Flex was Cinnie, she was cinnamon colored, the new one though, um yeah, she, Darth Vagon, hmm well, could be a She. Who says a Sith has to be a guy anyways, right?

 

The 2010 FFH was Sylvi, named after a green tree frog. Sylvi was short for the Danish version of tree frog(IIRC).

 

We finally named the Black HyTi today, I call her My Girl. I had referred to her as Black Betty's child before I got her, and since Betty is short or another name for Elizabeth, which is my daughters name, and shes my little girl, MyGirl came out, and that damned song is stuck in my head now.

I was calling mine BeeBee for Black Bi.... well you get it, but she isn't a Bi... and yes she is a she, so my wife and I had a collective brain fart because of the Nav voice ...

 

We call her "Sherry" from Must Love Dogs .....

I was almost expecting more female since the FFH is so delicate to handle if you want really good MPGs.

My FFH is Killer. My wife hasn't named her MKZ yet. Although she does refer to it as "mine."

Well that's a cool and creative name I like that a lot and if you feel like its SAM it fits perfect.

My 4 wheel vehicles don't get names. My motorcycles do. The names are female, male and gender neutral.

My black HyTi is named "Drusilla," after a favorite character from my favorite TV show (and she was once referenced as a "black beauty"). And I've always named my cars in the feminine. My dad did that when I was a kid, so I just picked it up from him.

We bought a Fusion Energi in November 2013 that my wife named Gigi, a take-off on how Ford spelled Energi.

 

This is the first time she has named a car since high school, 40+ years ago, when she named the Ford Galaxie she shared with her brother Alice Jane, because he had stuck his initials, A J, on the car without consulting her about it.

 

When we leased a 2014 Focus Electric in January, she named her Effie, because she is an FFE.

 

Prior to buying Effie, I was driving a 2005 F-150 Lariat, which I have held on to for whenever I just need a truck. Since naming vehicles seemed to have become the thing to do, I named him Larry because he is a Lariat and because I have a cousin Larry, who back in high school, was a redneck. Unlike Cousin Larry, I didn't consider myself a redneck in high school, but I did drive a 1964 F-100. I have always been fond of the song in the PBR commercial, "Red necks, white socks, and Blue Ribbon Beer," however.

 

I just got a company car, a tuxedo black metallic 2012 Fusion Hybrid that I've named Ebony because black is beautiful - and she is.

I voted genderless. If I had to pick, it'd be female... but since it's a hybrid, the correct choice should be transgender, right?

I like women and enjoy making them happy so my car is Black Barb after a very special lady who battled hard all her life to fight MS. So BB gets to carry on and since ladies need to be treated with respect and dignity to get the best out of them, it makes sense to have my car representing the female side.

 

Besides if it were a male and acted up, I might want to punch it out, or find one of those 'loaded' Fusions and shoot it! :ohsnap: ;)

I see my FFH as being a male, just because he is so muscular looking, and has the extra aggressive sporty looks due to the SE Appearance Package.

 

I named my car before it was ever built, as it is an easy process for me now, seeing as how after naming my last few cars a certain way, I seem to have developed a pattern to naming them. And that pattern is to take the model name, and twist it around with a 'z' in the name somewhere, in honor of the late Frank Zappa, one of the most brilliant and eclectic musicians of all time.

 

So for my FFH, I named him "Fuze". And then afterwards, I saw this t-shirt at CD3Perfomance.com, so I immediately bought it. :wub:

We've always named our vehicles. Our FFH is "Fancy", because she is, and because we like the alliteration. My 4WD Chevy S-10 pickup is "Jimmy", after my Dad, and my 1972 MGB Roadster is "Mac", named after Capt. James Macfarlane, a dear friend and retired officer in the Scots Guards.

One of my postings during my 25+ military career was where I retired in 2007, Dundurn SK. The posting itself is devided into 2 sides. The detatchment side(where I was posted) which was the support and staff to look after the training ranges. And the Ammo Depot side which we called the dark side. Fast forward 7 years and I started working on the dark side as a civillian ammunition tech, I also purchased my fusion in 2014 in the color of Darkside. So that is what we call our car "Darkside"

I named my MKT Maxine.

 

All because of Princess Bride. The Lincoln has MLT, Mutton, Lettuce, and Tomato. Mad Max the Magician in Princess Bride likes his lean. Therefor, Maxine.
