Charging your car with the roads you drive on

I just stumbled across this concept it sounds very clever and interesting but I'm just not sure how practical this could be. You would basically be driving on glass covered solar cells; I could see this working for parking lots and neiborhood streets.

Cool concept.

 

My only question is if it takes four government workers to fill a pothole how many will it take to replace a bad solar cell? J/K.

At least we know the permit to do so would be signed in a minute. Whereas it takes forever to get a drilling permit in the Gulf. Haha
