Ford REALLY wants me to keep my leather clean

i have the dune leather seats and have also received 5 packs of leather cleaners. Wonder if they are worried about the denim staining them and are trying to be proactive.

Very interesting. We have not received anything from Ford other than the Customer Service notice about the leather gear shifter. I need to treat our leather seats...haven't done that yet since we got the car in December

I found the Gold Class Meguiares Leather care does a pretty good job cleaning Dune leather.

I have never gotten anything from Ford. I have black leather, so maybe that's why I didn't get the denim letter either. But I would love to have the leather cleaning cloths, but they haven't sent me any. The dealer, on the other hand, has been great. My favorite thing that I got was a little brass plaque with the Ford logo that says "Built Especially for David". I would have preferred if it had my last name as well, but I still like having it! Also, if anyone wants a 1/43 scale model, there are a lot available on ebay, ranging in price from $10-20. I got one from a friend while I was waiting for delivery of mine! LOL!

Interesting theory about the dune seats. We have dune seats and just received our first trial package of the leather cleaner. No warnings about wearing blue jeans with it, as I recall though.

Funny, I have bought both the FFH and the MKZ with dune interior in both. I have not received any leather cleaner or cloths from Ford or Lincoln. Somehow I don't feel special. :)

YES! I got a package from Lincoln this week containing two packets of cleaning and conditioning wipes. Now my life is complete! ;) The letter with the package did state not to wear denim, as it can stain the leather. I wear nothing BUT denim jeans. Hmmm. Guess I'd better not wet my pants. :hysterical:
