TX NRG Report post Posted May 7, 2013 Check out this Energi thread with a similar problem. There's a TSB mentioned from 4-4-13 that might help the problem however that didn't solve it for jcoop513 http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/802-fob-problems/?do=findComment&comment=3655
fusionTX Report post Posted May 7, 2013 Sorry to hear. That is odd. I have had no issues with either FOB.Hope they get to the bottom of this soon. Do let us know how it gets resolved.
FlaDriveClean Report post Posted September 6, 2013 This "no key" found problem is HUGE! I live in the Southeast U.S. where temperatures can rise above 90 daily. On many occasions I have come to my car and the remove is completely unresponsive. Today, for example, I did open the car using the FOB signal but the push button would not activate and I received the "can't find key" connection. This is a DANGEROUS issue that Ford must connect IMMEDIATELY with a recall! I did find that placing the key in the slot found inside the compartment between the two front seats (open the top and find the slot that receives the key fob) will, most times, then allow me to start the car. THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE that must be addressed. Suggest reporting this to NHTSA.
corncobs Report post Posted September 6, 2013 Maybe I'm a bit ignorant since I don't have PBS but why is this so dangerous that it should be reported to the NHTSA? It's a huge inconvenience I agree also that Ford needs to address the issue but a safety issue I don't see that. Maybe you can say why you think it's a safety issue? airbusguy Report post Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) There was a TSB regarding a similar problem that involved reprogramming the receiver module to the latest IDS number.Sounds like you haven't approached the dealer yet. acdii Report post Posted September 6, 2013 I agree, not a safety issue, inconvenient, yes, but not a safety issue. Ford built in provisions in the event the battery is weak in the Fob, or in your case, the receiver cant see the key. If you haven't been to the dealer to get it addressed, coming here and yelling about it wont do any good. Take it to the dealer and have them look up the TSB on it, and they will get it corrected.
