illuminated door sill plates?

according to the dealer the instruction sheet does not cover the 2015 model....... He believes the wiring has changed since the instructions were printed....... My next step after today is getting ford involved...........

Ok left the dealer.... I showed the service Manager the forum......... Explained to hook it up to the dome light circuit...... it works correctly this time, and all is well...... Seems they had it hocked to the instrument panel lights..... Lol

So if they had just followed the installation instructions packed with the sill plates it would have been correct the first time.

Seems like a pretty week excuse if you ask me.

Going to get these installed probably next month from Levittown Ford. I had them price match other dealers so I got the sills for 150+ 80 for the install so it will be 230 plus tax. Anyone else have any pictures of them installed on black interior where you can see them glowing?

That's for the ambient lighting which comes which is installed since I have a Titanium. I am looking for the door sills. Thanks for taking the time to look though. :)

Yeah that works. Doesn't show the glow much but that's hard to get a picture of. I am going to have to take a look at whats on the blueovalforums as I didn't even bother looking for any other forums sites.

 

When I get them installed next month, I will post a picture here. Thanks again!

So I finally got my car back from service for the door sills. It took them 5 days due to they forgot to order them when I made an appointment a month ago. They had other work to do and I had a loaner so no complaints.

 

I tried my best to take a picture but it's hard to really see the teal color. The illuminated ones have more of a shine to them than the regular ones. No issue with the mechanic hooking it up wrong as they only go on for the door. I was able to tell they connected it right since the plastic was a little popped out where the moonroof buttons and sunglasses holder are. Just need a good push to go back into place. Overall, they are a nice option for the $250 after tax that I spent for the sills and install.
