Difference between Titanium 2 button remote, and SE 1 button remote

In regards to the Ford Fusion SE and the Fusion Titanium, seems the SE has only a one button remote, and the Titanium has a two button remote. Does anyone know the difference? Seems like not enough buttons, espicaially if using remote start.

 

My current car remote has 4 buttons, lock, unlock, trunk, and panic.

 

I am purchasing a Fusion soon, and trying to decide between the two models. Not sure why Ford would not offer the best remote for both cars... confusing...

My SE key has lock, unlock, and panic/alarm. I think the Titanium has an additional button for remote start.

4 buttons on mine, lock, unlock, trunk and alarm. Not sure if the Ti has an actual key on the fob like the SE does since it uses push button start, it might have an embedded key though like the Toyota does in case the battery dies.

Ok, that sounds better. Now I am wondering if the remote start is a second remote?... That sounds redundant but maybe the case.

Apparently it is a second remote on the SE but built-in to the Titanium remote.

Sorry, mine has a trunk button too. I just never use it, so forgot it was there :)

Here is an illustration of the Intelligent Access Fob from the 2013 Owner's Manual, note the additional button for the remote start.

Titanium. The 2X button is for remote start.

And, is there any indicator on the remote that lets you know if the car started, or is currently running? for instance, if you don't remember if you started it or not, then you may be turning it off if you already started it, correct?

Remote start on the SE uses a second single button remote that is used in conjunction with the regular remote. The second remote is a two way device and beeps and flashes to communicate the status of the car back to the driver. I have it on my car as it was a car I bought from dealer stock, not something I would order, used it once in two months and that was only to make sure it worked.

The Titanium apparently has a nice single remote. Why would Ford go to the trouble of having the consumer use two devices? Does not make any sense.

The same system should be available and utilized in both models.

What makes a Titanium a Titanium? It has features you can't get on the SE. I guess this is one of them.
