I hate to disagree with the good folks on this forum but there really is only one color this car should be made in and it's Oxford White!  Ever notice it's the only color used in the TV commercials for the car?  There's a reason for that.  And not Platinum White either (too yellow looking).  It's Oxford White baby!  All the way!

Hate to burst your bubble but all of the print marketing material shows the car in White Platinum.

Not sure if the commercials are realy Oxford white or White Platinum. I wonder if there is a way to confirm. Not that it matters I guess.

It absolutely doesn't matter at all.  The car is great in any color.  But I have to stick up for my Oxford White.  Heck, it's the lowest vote total in the survey.  C'mon all you Oxford White drivers, get out and vote!

You should be happy it's the lowest vote total, it makes it more unique.

The surprise on here to me is the ice storm. We ordered it and liked it, but if this is any indication, they are gonna be everywhere.

Around here, if there's a hybrid on the lot, it's Ice Storm. I test drove one when I was making my decision. I didn't actually mind the color even though I don't tend to like anything close to it. But I like my cars to be dark in color so, no go for me.

Someone mentioned that their wife didn't like the White Platinum since it looked a little pink. I hadn't noticed that on mine, I thought sometimes it looked more Champaign. But yesterday my twin car was stopped in the opposing lane at a stop sign late in the day and it had a distinct pink color. This may have been due to the fact that our California sky at the time was skyblue pink, but I was shocked when I saw it. I'm also surprised there are only four of us here with the Platinum color.

I guess the paint has so much depth that it catches the light of anything around it and reflects it off the car. I still like how it looks, I feel like it has a more expensive or luxury look to it which is why I went with it.

Riggo, you've expressed my exact feelings and the reason why White Platinum is the only color option I would accept.

It does have more expensive look because it is more expensive! Impact Blue was my first choice then Platinum White. I like all the colors!

Ha, yes that's true. I just meant it made the car itself look more expensive or luxurious. But I agree, whatever color floats your boat is cool with me. To each their own.

That's what I'm really liking about Platinum White. It's grown on me. I have a neighbor that has a Platinum White Edge. It really has a pearl-like finish during the day. Towards sunset the finish really shows itself. Originally I was planning on a Deep Impact Blue Fusion, but my eyes have steadily leaned toward a White Platium model. I also saw a Plat White Fusion Titanium with the 19 dark H-spoke wheels. Looked just as striking!

Oh how I wish the 19" dark H-spoke wheels were available on the Hybrid Titanium . That was money I was willing to fork over to Ford, but they just wouldn't let me would they. Those wheels complete the look of the car in my opinion.

Yes, the dark H-spoke wheels look great! I am sure it will cost a few MPG but it does make fusion look very sporty!

You mean you couldn't pay the extra $695 as an "upgrade option"?

Ebay!

Exactly. Someone will be selling their brand new take offs for cheap! Then you'll have a new set of summer and winter wheels. Big warning, tire selection for this particular wheel is really limited at the moment.

Okay back on topic. This is how I see the colors of the cars.

  1. Bordeaux Reserve - Classy color
  2. Deep Impact Blue - Visually Striking Color - when you want to be noticed
  3. Ice Storm - Color to let others know you drive a hybrid
  4. Ingot Silver - Standard color, yet classy
  5. Oxford White - Standard color, yet classy
  6. Ruby Red - Visually Striking color - when you want to be noticed
  7. Sterling Gray - Standard color, yet classy - put on a euro plate, wear a suit/ nice dress and role play as James Bond!
  8. Tuxedo Black - Standard color, yet classy and can be striking up close (metallic flake)
  9. White Platinum - Standard color, yet classy and striking under the right lighting conditions

Don't take this to heart, take it with a grain of salt. This isn't meant to put down any color at all. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any color.

IF that stupid mandate comes down for noise makers on a Hybrid, I want this color and the noise to be the Bond theme.
