Osofast Report post Posted March 3, 2013 I just picked up my FFH yesterday and having been playing with all of the different settings one of which is the ability to open or close all of the windows using the remote. Here is my question when I hit the unlock on the remote all of the windows and roof open, but when I hit the lock button not all of the windows and roof close. The front passenger window remains down while everything else closes. Do I have a dealer issue or do I have a setting wrong??? Thanks
jeff_h Report post Posted March 3, 2013 My salesman demo'd this behavior to me when I took delivery, and on my car all 4 windows had the same behavior... don't know if maybe that one window of yours has a sensor that is not right or some related issue? Kaleido Report post Posted March 4, 2013 You might have to "reset" the windows that aren't working properly. pull the window switch to the Up position, hold the switch until the glass reaches the stall position and continue to hold for 2 seconds. Push the window switch DOWN and operate the window to the full down position. Now it should be "reset" and one touch Express UP and down will now be functional, along with your Global opening and closing feature. This worked for me anyway. 1 erichFla reacted to this
Osofast Report post Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Kaledio, thank you for that info. That solved the problem and what a simple solution, worked the first time I tried. Wondering if maybe you can help with this one. This only happened one time and of course it was the first time my wife drove the car. But all of a sudden the steering wheel controls (the 2 directional pads) and both the wipers and more importantly the turn signals all stopped functioning! We pulled over and put the car in park and shut if off and turned it back on, but still they did not work. We drove for maybe another 5 min. and pulled in to another parking lot and when she tried the turn signal to turn into the lot it and everything else suddenly started working again. Thanks again for the help Osofast You might have to "reset" the windows that aren't working properly.pull the window switch to the Up position, hold the switch until the glassreaches the stall position and continue to hold for 2 seconds. Kaleido Report post Posted March 4, 2013 Can't help you with the directionals thing, I never heard of that, sorry. Keep that info on your window fix, you'll need it again I'm sure, I've had to do it at least 4 times in 8 weeks.I think they have to be reset because of low battery voltage, my dealer has checked my battery twice now and they say it is fine, but I still think that's the problem. kiemco Report post Posted March 7, 2013 K, thanks for the info on the windows reset. When you set the window do you close the window in the up mode or hold it in the auto up mode?
Osofast Report post Posted March 7, 2013 Go to the window that is not working, and put it down. Then pull the switch in the full up position and when it gets to the top hold it, then do the same in the down position. After that it should work in the one touch mode up and down. It worked for me on the front passenger side and then the following day I had to do it on the drivers window. Not sure why it losses that setting but hopefully they will fix it. erichFla Report post Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) Thanks for the Info in Post #-3, I'm going to try that with my Drivers side window, as it will not go down with the key Remote but all the rest work fine including the sun / moon roof. Update: That Info fixed my window problem too, now will it stay fixed, I hope so. Edited March 26, 2013 by erichFla
