Titanium "Leather-Trimmed" Seats

There were some questions about the seats on the Titanium in another thread. I saw this early on in one of the brochures and also on the Ford website and wanted to bring it to your attention.

Click interior features, then go down to the bottom where it says 'Seating" and click on "Leather Trimmed and Front Heated Seats" and look at the picture that comes up. That is the same picture I saw in the early brochures that led me to conclude that the Titanium would not have the full leather seating. It looks to me like cloth seating with leather decoration. These are much different from the leather seats in my SE hybrid with the luxury package.

They are full leather, its just the way they worded it. I looked at a Ti when I was at the dealer, full leather.

Did you look at the picture? I'm just wondering why they would use that picture to advertise full leather seats.

 

*ETA* I just posted on a couple of Facebook pages to see if they can clarify. If what you saw was the stock seating, they really need to change that picture because it will be turning people off.

Okay, I asked Trina at Ford on Facebook and this is her response:

 

 

 

I looked into this for you and verified that yes, the Hybrid Titanium comes with full leather seats the same as you would see in the Luxury Package on the SE. Laura, since you have them now, they will look the same on the Titanium. The Hybrid SE and Hybrid Titanium both include Leather-trimmed seats with heated front-row and 60/40 split-fold-down rear seat backs.

 

Which is all well and good, except that if you look in the other thread (http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6096-fusion-ti-hybrid-picture/?p=43836) you will see that I just posted pictures of my seats and they look nothing like the seats in the one delivered hybrid titanium that's pictured earlier in that thread. So I'm still confused, but apparently Ford is, too. I thanked Trina for her efforts but really am not much more enlightened :)

 

It's okay, though. I love the car and I really love the interior, so my curiosity is more for the benefit of the group here-- not so much myself! It sounds like nobody else is curious about this, so I'm not going to keep going on about it.

The seats themselves are a different design, but the material layout is the same, pretty sure that is what Trina meant. The stitching in the leather is different, the cushions may be the same though. It looks like the only real difference between SE Luxury and titanium trim is how the covers are stitched. They both use the same materials though.

A portion of the HyTi leather appears to be perforated leather, so I'm not sure if the material is the same. It could be, but the HyTi does look completely different. I like both versions.
