Active Park Assist

Is there any way to adjust the sound level of the parking aid sensors? These old ears would like to have them a little louder.

 

I'm just the opposite... these old ears would love to make them QUIET DOWN IN THERE! ;)

I was able to test out the system in the snow today for the first time. It recognized the snowbank as the curb and correctly steered the car into the space around the large ruts and chunks of snow in the street. I'm very impressed!!

Snowbank? Large Ruts? Chunks of snow? Oops, that's right, you're in the snowbelt. I don't have the park assist, it wasn't a must have for me. Besides, there's not a lot places to parallel park in Florida. The older drivers here don't even bother with parking spots. They just drive right into the building.

It worked perfectly again this week in the snow. Has anyone tried it on a road with no curb, just a car in front & behind?

 

I did that this week, there is a curb, but the way this road was plowed the snow was a slope from the road up onto the sidewalk. I was curious how the APA would do with this. I have no idea what it saw for the "curb", or if it even looks for that, but it lined me up perfectly with the car in front & behind.

I've used the APA several times in areas without curbs, with just a car in front and behind. It worked perfectly each time.
