Ouch, ice and turning, dont mix well

Recommended Posts

Broke my 2010 today during lunch. Was going around a store to get back on the road, and as I got to where to turn, realized too late that it was a sheet of ice, and I was going a bit too fast. Slammed into a curb and broke the left rear wheel bearing. Rim held up though, only has a slight dent. Car just left on the hook 20 minutes ago. :(

Think I hurt me too though, getting twinges in my neck, arms and lower back. Grrrrrrr. Waiting for the Aleve to kick in.

I broke my left front wheel bearing on the 2010, but wasn't as heroic as you were, I just took mine in for a state inspection and they found it... but nooooo you gotta go overboard... but be glad this happened on your 2010, as if it happened on the 2013 the dealer might think it's deliberate!

Good news is insurance covered the tow to the dealer 100%. Should hear what the repairs will cost tomorrow. Bad news is, starting to feel the whiplash from hitting the curb, our necks are a bit stiff on the right side.
