Poor MPG ... Should I take it in?

The place the pump is in has a foam insert, if you remove it, you can put a spare tire there, but you are on your own for the jack. I dont know if the non hybrid has the 12V battery in the trunk, could be where the jack is stored in those models that do have a spare.

Question - are the 18" tires LRR like the 17", any one know (both recommend 33 PSI) ?

Usually LRR tires will be posted as such when you look up tires. I have yet to believe they are, but the Michelins are LRR that are installed on stock Fusion rims.

He is documenting everything on a blog, I use fuel log on my iphone along with Fuelly and fueleconomy.gov to track my mileage. My daily drive is 35-43 miles each way, so plenty of time for the car to warm up.
