Hello, new member from VA. My wife ordered a fusion hybrid on Columbus Day and hasn't heard a word back from our dealer about the vin # or anything. I've heard about possible production delays which the dealer had no idea about. Now that we are having to wait longer for her car we are thinking about a enegri model. Any thoughts or suggestions? We live in the mountains with less than 5 miles to work, we also work at same factory with the same hours so one car would be great for work. Can also buy using xplan and not trading anything in. Sorry if to much information but I thought it might help for a opinion from the outside. Thanks

I ordered mine the same day here in Chicago area and got my Vin # late in the evening Thursday night. Might want to check with them again. Personally I think plug ins are overpriced. I think Hybrids in general were overpriced until this model debuted combined with gas hovering around $4 a gallon make it worth hybrid now if you drive enough.

Hey neighbor, I have an old friend Steve that grew up in Covington, small world... If you can afford it, seems like the Energi would be worth checking out, as you'd hardly use any gas, maybe none... my first order for an SE hybrid (have since changed to Titanium hybrid) was placed on Oct 10th and I just got a VIN and build scheduled for week of Dec 3rd, wonder if you have the same. You should be able to call your dealer and ask them to run a vehicle visibility report and make sure things are in order (on order)... there was someone else on here that was delayed due to their dealer apparently not knowing that retail orders for the Fusions needed to have the customer's drivers license also sent to Ford to show that it wasn't made up just to get more stock orders I guess.

hadn't heard about the DL but when i ordered mine they did ask for my license soi guess they could have sent a copy
