Push Button Start - worth 3K?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible that they will "special order" my SE with the push button start, or will he have to "make it right" when it comes in?

if the SE is not available with push-button start, either as a package or as a free standing option, you won't see if coming from the factory like that. Whether "make it right" means that the dealer will attempt to install one after delivery (personally, I wouldn't want think kind of tinkering after the build) or knock a couple hundred bucks off the cost (or offering free oil changes etc) and considering that "making it right", who knows.

So I assume they still haven't provided you a copy of the VOC? That's why my dealer (and I suppose most) provided a printout to me and said "look this over and double-check before we hit send", as it helps avoid miscommunications such as those.

<p>

Is this my imagination, or is this a youtube video showing a Hybrid SE with a push button start????

That is a pre-production model from an auto show, which does not always reflect the config of what they actually produce, and I think the push-button start is a good example of something that may have been dropped as they worked out the pricing/options and how it stacked up against competitors or whatever other reasons.

From what I read, the Titanium Hybrid pricing is the same as the AWD version. So if you want an idea of what it will cost, build and price a Titanium AWD model. I did that yesterday, and with the same options mine has, it came out to $1200 more for the Titanium model. Base titanium is $32K and change, with a lot of features, my add ons were the Adaptive cruise, moon roof, park assist(only to get apples-apples), driver assist package, and nav, which is what mine currently has. So when you add it all up, the difference between a loaded up SE, and base titanium is not that great.

If I were to order one with exactly what I wanted, which is all the above except for the park assist, it would cost me $500 more than the car I have now.
