2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid

Recommended Posts

One of the two 2011 HSHs in the D.O.E. long term 160,000 mile tests by the A.V.T.A. had the inverter fail at 120,000 miles with a estimated $10,000 cost to replace and the vehicle was dropped from the test.

Ouch, not even an extended warranty would save you from that.

Based on the fact this came on 10 miles after the 120k service. Makes you wonder what was done in service as im sure something there caused it.

Good catch! I wonder if anyone questioned Hyundai about this?

One of the golf diesels had a battery die within a year. Yet they paid almost $100 to get it replaced?

Somebody there just doesnt care.

Also the dead smartcar is another one makes ya wonder. It was under 50k miles and the belt caused it to overheat and kill the whole car. Belt was changed 20k miles before.

Than you when you watch a later smartcar. They were changing the belt every oil change for $45. Common issue i guess on that lol
