Ordering My 2011 FFH

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'll be ordering my car soon, and wanted to get it from the factory, with Remote Start.

I thought I read before, it was recommended to get the RS wired from the factory.

As I'll HAVE to put in an order for my car, this is no problem for me.

What are the latest thoughts on choosing between the two different Remote Starters for the Hybrid?

Any changes from last year?

Thanks.

I just installed the two way remote in my '11 FFH and opted to allow the car to continue to run when the doors were unlocked or opened (Bank2 option7).

I still have found no way to get a wire through the firewall to install the hood switch but it is working fine without it...Just place the remote system in inactive mode when it is going in for service - then the hood switch is immaterial anyhow.

I chose the two way because you get an indication on the remote when the car 'starts' - which is usually silent. The doors lock when it starts and climate control will then do as it is set to do. Very convenient....
