Load rating for real?

I have a 2010 Sport. Has anyone else noticed the drivers door pillar sticker? It states that the weight limit with passengers and luggage is not to exceed 850 lbs. This sounds low to me. If you have a couple of good size passengers you could be pushing that number pretty easily. Especially with luggage. Anyone else think this is low? I hope they were just low balling that figure to protect themselves in case of some potential lawsuits.

Of course it's CYA but it is also a safety factor with the tires and suspension. Add a few PSI to the tires if you're going to be fully loaded and be careful - the suspension won't work as well - may bottom out. Other than that it should be ok but I wouldn't carry that much weight often in any midsized sedan.
