Car Alarm

Recommended Posts

I would like to know if all of the 2010 Fusion comes with an alarm. I asked at the dealer and that is what they told me, but i was watching tv the other day and i saw a 2010 fusion and when they activated the alarm it made a diffrent sound not the horn. So i was wondering if the car actually comes with alarm or its just a panic button?

Hi mgsolido. :D As Sithil stated, the Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm is standard on all 2010 Fusions.

Good luck. :beerchug:

Once you arm the alarm, opening the door without a key or without unlocking it first with the keyfob, keypad or unlock button will set off the alarm. You accidentally disabled the alarm or you didn't wait long enough for it to be activated.

I just purchased a 2007 Fusion, and when the salesman started the vehicle, the horn chirped three times. I asked him about it, and he told me that it was a dealership security feature and that the horn would not chirp when starting the car off the dealership's property. I purchased the car, drove it home, and the horn still chirps, three times, when I start the vehicle. Anybody have any ideas on this? Thanks!

It sound like an aftermarket alarm (i know dealers in high theft areas install temp alarms) i would checked under the dash for an alarm (you should see some wires taped into the ignition circuits (it could be a plug and play set up as well)

Dear _7858,

You were absolutely correct! The salesman never had the service guys take out the dealer's alarm before I drove it off the lot. I could see the little sucker of an alarm under the driver's side dash. Of course, the dealer removed it free of charge. Thanks for the insight.

Anyone familiar with a KARR alarm installed by the dealer? How does this differ from what the cars come with?
