Pulsating third brake light module

Recommended Posts

I haven't, are they legal in all states, just asking I don't know? Although I've seen them, seems like a good idea, this company has them for our Fusions and it's only $35.00. says it flashes 3 times and then goes solid red, which I think is a good idea. I really wouldn't want to be behind someone at a long light with that thing flashing, might make me go mad and ram the back of their car just to stop it (ha, ha). Which would kind of defeat the whole purpose of them.

I've never understood why a flashing center brake light would bother people and the flashing turn signal light doesn't.

Perhaps the rate at which they flash. When stopped at a traffic light, at night - those things are bright!

I used one on my motorcycle and it eventually melted the socket and stopped working altogether until I replaced the socket. It pulses really fast at first and gradually slows down to a solid light. It must have generated too much heat or pulled too much current or something so I went back to a standard bulb. it was halogen, not L.E.D. and was a single bulb with electronics built right into the base of it.
