wjgreen Report post Posted January 4, 2006 Ok, my Lincoln is on order, i know it has an awesome stereo system, but i want to give it some more bump. So i want to throw in 2 10in subs, i already built the box and everything is ready for it to be installed, but the question i have is... how do i remove the faceplate and where do i connect the amp using an R/F switch?? Maybe some of you fusion guys can help... oh and for the battery connection, where should i wire it through? anyways, some help would be great, THANKS in ADVANCE! HEVeng Report post Posted February 3, 2006 (edited) I expect there is a lot of sound deadening on the firewall. Finding an amp power wire pass through might be tough...but, check the area where the clutch pedal would be on the Fusion. There is probably a plastic plug in it's place. They use a plug on the automatic Focus. Drill a hole slightly larger than the wire, run the wire through and when you get everything in place, put a little silicon around the hole/wire to seal out any water. Use speaker level inputs for the amp signal off the speakers in the rear package tray. If you get certain amps, they have remote bass level controls, like the RockFos I installed in my parent's Fukus. Works good since you can lower bass levels on the receiver to preserve the main speakers, but you are still able to crank up the sub level. Not sure about building a box before getting the car, its usually better to have the car as a template to finalize the design and optimize trunk space.
