Oil Change 2008 V6 - O-ring replacement?

I am going to change my oil soon on my 2008 3.0 V6. The manual says I need to replace the o-rings on the plug, but do I really need to do that? I can't seem to find Fusion o-rings in parts stores.

Go ahead and buy a couple. Then when you pull the plug change it only if the current one is nicked or squashed.

Generally, if oil is changed regularly and the plug is not over torqued you'd just about never change the o-ring.

The o-rings come with the oil filter cartridge. It includes the large one as well as the small one for the drain plug.
