Awesome idea! Make sure you use a spare spot that ins't being used. You wouldn't believe how many vehicles I see where someone tapped into a dedicated fuse and then they are wondering why they have electrical problems.

On my previous car which was a 00 grand am, I hardwired it into the windshield wiper fuse and never had any electrical problems.

Got a new 2010 Fusion Sport FWD (and really like it!).

Looking to hardwire my Valentine 1 radar detector so it powers on/off with the key. Only fuse box I know of is in the engine compartment.

Is there one in the cab of the car that I can tap into?

thanks for any help.

OK...I FOUND IT!... if you look to the left and about a foot up from where the brake pedal is you will see it...its WAY up in there but if you use a flashlight you should be able to see the fuse panel cover...It took me 20 mins to find it you have to kind of search for it. Like I said just beware because they did a good job of hiding it away...maybe they should have made the panel cover orange or something!!!...that would have been nice!...LOL
