I have 101k on my 2013. My wife said she just received a notice from Ford that it is time to replace the Serpentine Belt.

Is this something I can do myself? Is there any tips or tricks?

I replaced it on my minivan and had no issues. I haven't inspected it for cracks or signs of wear yet.

Thank you

Ha. I wonder what they are talking about.

I asked the wife if she had the letter and she said she threw it away.

Anything I should do for my 100k service?

Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual. That should be all you need to do.

And that is why you should always treat any service sales pitches with extreme skepticism. As others have stated, the car does not use a belt to drive accessories.

If the marketing system is trying to sell you this item that does not exist, don't get bamboozled by the service writer selling you profit-center items that will do nothing to assure a long vehicle life.
