Seasoned Hybrid Owner New to FFH Forum

Recommended Posts

I am happy I found this forum. I have owned a 2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium and it is the first brand new vehicle I bought for my bride where we sat down with the sales person and she picked all the bells and whistles she wanted with it (& then some I wanted too:) So far it has been a great vehicle with only a couple of complaints, to much to discuss in this introduction since I am almost late for a Boy Scout Committee meeting.

Thank you ceilidhdog. Looking forward to the experience and after I read up on some of the Transmission problems owners of the 13's have experienced I will begin a new thread. My Ford Dealer here says they cannot duplicate the complaint and in that week since I have had it back it has gotten louder and I really don't want to spend more than one more trip into the dealership and not have at least an agreement that there is a problem. :drop: not again!

How many miles on your car? The timing couldn't have been worse for me. My dealer was unable to discern a problem in August while still under 100k (I could definitely hear a problem), but informed me I needed a new transmission when I brought it back in September, just over 100k. Still working with my dealer, but they are slow to respond... Service advisor admitted they didn't have the right guy check it out the first time, but I don't know if they're gonna be willing to stand up and help me now.

I have a 2013 FFH SE with just under 32,000 miles on it. At the 25,000-mile oil change, the dealer told me the transmission was losing a little fluid. They dropped the tranny and found a leak in the damper housing. They resealed it and I've had no problems since. They gave me a loaner non-hybrid Fusion for the five days they had the car. All this was done under warranty, with no argument from the dealer. I love Mike Naughton Ford in Denver.

I have 62,000 miles on mine. I also had a transmission leak around 55k-57k miles and they fixed it no hassles with loaner car all went well. Then after my last engine oil change I started noticing this rumbling noise at certain times when I was dynamic braking and I am hearing deficient (verified by hearing test & Bride:) and when she was riding with me she asked what the noise was? i figured it was time to take it to my dealer and have it looked at while they did the seat belt recall work but they were unable to duplicate the noise. Partly my fault as I told them it was happening while braking between 35-40mph instead of where it was noisiest 25-0mph. 3 weeks later well now you can hear it well at most speeds anytime it is in electric drive or dynamic braking. the engine muffles it if it is running on it but I can still hear it. I hope they will do the right thing by you and fix it under warranty since you had it in under the 100k. I am supposed to take mine back in and I am going to insist a tranny tech rides with me. when they drove it last time it was a general tech and I was not present. Good luck to you.

Them are some low miles for a 13. Glad they were able to take good care of you there.
