Brakes Still Sliding/Releasing on 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium

My car will occasionally slide/lurch forward while braking. The feeling is as if the regenerative brakes are disengaging, and then re-engaging, which is very disconcerting. I thought the problem was resolved after having the rear rotor and brakes replaced last year at 21,000 miles but the problem still happens. The posts on the following link perfectly describe what's going on with my car. I also need to get the front rotors replaced. The dealer has not been able to reproduce the issue.

If either front wheel loses contact with the ground all regenerative braking ceases immediately until contact is regained. This is caused by regenerative braking being applied to the input shaft of the differential. It typically happens when one front wheel crosses over a low manhole cover. Nothing can be done about it. Learn to press harder on the brake pedal to engage the friction brakes when this happens.

i have the same exact issue with my fusion. It usually happens when I am making a sharp turn into my driveway. At first it concerned me ,but i have gotten use to it. I attribute it to just another little inherint quirk that comes along with owning a hybrid. I know that if i bring it to the dealer they will just give me the old "i cant reproduce your complaint".

My new Kia Hybrid does the same thing.

 

I think it has to do with regenerative braking.
