Any one upgraded the stock headlight bulbs on a 2017 FFH?  On mine, the dim lights look yellowish and I would like to upgrade the bulbs.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Yes absolutely!

You wont be able to fit any other kind of bulb into the house other than the braided kind. My 2015 fusion takes H11, not sure about 2017.

EDIT: this is the brand I bought. No burned out bulbs like HID would - burned out every 2-3 months for me. So happy about the switch to LED from that crap.

- You said 2015 Fusion, but your info on the left says 2013.

- What advantage do you see from the LED bulbs over the stock bulbs?

- Which socket type of the several listed did you get?

- Did you install them yourself? If so, how difficult was it?

1) 2013 Fusion Hybrid was totaled

Now driving a 2015 Fusion Energi Plug-in... Pretty much the same care.

2) Clarity and brightness. They are 6000K, so a nice white bulb and they are much brighter than the stock yellow halogens.

3) The socket type is H11 for the low beams. Didn't bother with highbeams as I never use them.

4) Installed myself, it was relatively difficult. If you're not good with a drill / fixing something it might not be for you. The front end needs to come off (or at least rest it on a bastket or two because it needs to come forwards about half a foot), meaning removing a lot of top screws, underside clips, connectors for adaptive cruise etc. Then you have to disconnect and take out the housings for the headlights. The whole thing will take you at least an hour.

There is a thread on here somewhere on how to take off the front end

Thanks, that's definitely not something I should undertake!

jayfusion Did you have any luck replacing the headlight bulbs? I want to do the same thing to my 2017. I bought Phillips ClearVision Ultra bright white bulbs and just need to install them. I looked at it today and they dont give you a lot of room in there to get at them, so I havent tried it yet. Just wondering if you changed yours and how it went.

LED's are not a great choice when you have projector housings like the 17/18 Fusions.  The way they project light in all directions doesn't jive with the focus of the projector.  I purchased these:

They are the only LED aftermarket kit I know of that is specifically made for projector housings.  There is plenty of room to install these without removing the bumper.  I had the stock bulbs out today just to see what they were...I agree they are terrible.  I haven't put the new ones in yet...maybe Wednesday.  I'll hopefully remember to take some pics and post them when done.
