I drive exactly the same manner and get same results in my fusion Hyb 13. Just don't have any wheel covers. One interesting thing I noticed, if my distance is over 17 Miles I get good mpg about less it goes south. Also fan on in lowest setting adds to the mpg maybe reduced drag depending on where the vents are placed.
