0.5 Quart extra engine oil , is it bad ?

Hi Guys , I am new here , I have Ford fusion energi 2013 , does 0.5 quart engine oil harm the engine ? Should I drain the extra or keep it without any harm ? I used Motorcraft 5w-20 and 910s oil filter . I used 5 quarts instead of 4.5. thank you in advance

Drain it. If they wanted 5 quarts in there they would have specified 5 quarts. Only the engine designer knows how much extra oil it would take to destroy the engine.

I have checked the level today morning and it was on the Max , this is good right ?

The 10,000 and 20,000 mile services at my Ford dealer put in 5 quarts of oil (0W20 blend).

The oil level should not be above the top mark after sitting at least 30 minutes on a level surface. If it's above, drain some. Maybe Ford put 4 1/2 quarts in and charged you for 5.
