change oil soon light will not turn off after the oil was changed.

My wife had the oil changed in the 2012 fusion hybrid after 10,000 mies and the 'change oil soon' light will not turn off. The mechanic tried to reset it with his dianostics computer but it remained on. Has anyone experienced this before and what measures can we use to turn the light off? Thanks for any feed back.

I have not seen a 2012 but I reset it in my 2010 after changing the oil. Go through the menus in the left screen.

Enter "Setup", go to "Vehicle Settings", scroll down to "Oil Life", select "100%' ( for 10k miles ) or a lower amount if you've gone far since the oil change and select "Reset". You might have to hold it 2 seconds.
