Door panel upper material peeling off

Hi folks,

 

I have a 2014 FFH SE. Got scared yesterday as I've notice that the interior trim from the door panel (the same material as the dash), is peeling off.

A big part of the vehicule interor is made of this material. Hope it won't do the same on the dash.

 

Did anybody experienced this problem?

We don't have that issue in our car. Have you taken it by the dealer?

Your car should see a doctor for that skin condition! :)

That is a warranty issue. The Ford pleather material shouldn't do that.

That looks like the location (passenger side, right?) where I frequently rest the underside of my forearm while driving. Is it possible that the person riding in that seat rests their forearm there after applying bug spray (with deet) or sunscreen or other caustic chemical? Both deet and sunscreen can severely damage vinyl like materials. Sunscreen can severely damage boat vinyl. Just a thought...

DEET can also damage clearcoat and paint.

It does that on all my doors. My passanger is mostly my girlfriend, which is too small to rest her arm there.

I'll show it to the dealer on my next visit in november. I don't want to try an inside restorer product, in case it gets worst.
