Front Seats Reclining Themselves

Recommended Posts

Twice in past week, one or both of my front seats have reclined all the way back by themselves at some point after I exit the vehicle. Anyone else have this happen to them? Poltergeist? I'm taking it in to dealer in a couple weeks. In the meantime...freaky!

Do you have the memory seat function? If so, are you sure it's not somehow going to one of your other settings?

There is a setting for having the drivers seat move back when you turn the car off to help getting in and out. I love it! But I must admit to poltergeists in the memory seat functions -- it occasionally doesn't go to my memory setting when I get in.

I'm not talking the memory function and the whole seat moving. The seat backs only recline themselves all the way back...as if my poltergeist is taking a nap!

This calls for an exorcism at the Ford Dealer's Service Dept... ;)

A practical joke by a family member maybe?

And a very good one.

While installing stuff in the car I accidentally pushed the buttons to move the seat before so maybe there is something pressing against it?
