anyone have any opinions on doing tire rotation more often than the 10,000 mile service intervals? i cant see waiting that long for rotations just because the oil change intervals are longer for this car.

I've been doing tire rotations every 5,000 miles for many years. It's only $20. Tire rotation is included in the 10,000 mile inspection.

Goodyear has a Road Hazard Warranty you can purchase. It covers whatever tires are on your car when it is used. Part of that warranty is free rotation, pressure checks and other services. It can be pricy up front, but should you need to replace a punctured tire, you can save a lot of cash. It's especially nice when you do something like I do - 2 sets of rims/tires for non-Winter and Winter use. The warranty switches to the mounted set ... and the set swaps are free.

NOTE: It will even cover OEM tread that may not be a brand they sell.

Tire rotations are free at Discount Tire so I go about every 5000 miles. I make an appointment online and go first thing in the morning. I'm usually in & out in about 20 minutes.

The FFH Owner's Manual indicates that tires should be rotated at 10,000 miles but the tire manufactures warranty requirements supercede that. Here is a post that talks about this in more detail:
