klatoo Report post Posted June 12, 2015 For weeks I thought I had the wretched torsion bar vibration issues known to FFH. Wednesday I washed and waxed the car and looked to put a fix to this constant rattling hear from the trunk. Open it up, yada yada, low and behold no sound whatsoever. Turned the car on and back to the rattling noise. Called the wife to come listen and sure enough, we opened the battery door behind the driver's passenger seat and the rattling with 100 times louder. Question is, has anyone ever taken that fabric top off the battery pack? I was tugging and everything and it seems like it comes up easily...however I have no idea where the fan is anyways. I'm posting more to see if anyone ever has take the cover off the battery pack, and a) know the fan's location, and/or b) has anyone else had this issue? If it's something simple I'll fix it myself. If it's more complex I guess I'll borrow a 2015 Edge while I let Ford fix this issue. Thanks.
GrySql Report post Posted June 12, 2015 No question, have the Dealer fix it. It needs specific care to be replaced.
