Using brakes efficiently

Hi,

I'm a new hybrid owner. 2013 se 17+k miles. I like to keep track of how I'm using the brakes. I can pretty much keep it at 90% or better. I see a little "ok" light under the % circle. I thought it was to tell me I was braking efficiently until I did a 50% brake indication and it said "ok".

What is ok when that "ok" light. is lit? seems like it's lit all the time.

It means you car thinks you are ok! Embrace it man! ;)

The "OK" has nothing to do with your brake score. When the "OK" is displayed, pressing the "OK" button on steering wheel will cancel Brake Score Display (and it will immediately display the previous view). Or, you can wait and after a few seconds, the display will go back to previous view by itself.

For some reason that never worked for me. I could press and press and press and it would not go away. That was on any screen that had OK in it, like door open. It worked really good for resetting though, as that is usually what happened after pressing it so many times. LOL

You have to 'press and hold' for it to cancel. I just generally wait. The braking score will go away quite quickly. If you stop for a stop sign, as soon as you accelerate, the brake score will disappear.

Yeah I did that too, just seems it takes as long to press and hold OK as it does for it to go away on its own,
