For the MY 2016 the FFH Technology package has the newest My Ford TouchM, notice the 'M' and AppLink !!!.

That isn't Sync 3. Sync 3 will be very different. I think Sync 3 doesn't come out until 2017 cars.

This says it will be in the 2016 MY, this says the same and this Sync3 video says (in the small print in the video), 'select' 2016 MY Ford vehicles.

I was looking at the 2016 Flex 'Build It' page and it said Sync 3, unfortunately Ford Fleet pulled that webpage, it's gone.

 

(Yes, acdii, if the 2016 Flex has QNX my wife said she wanted a Mineral Gray one with a white top, me, just the EB motor. My last hotrod)

Thanks for confirming what I was understanding. It seems that models redesigned for MY2016 will get it in MY2016 but cars redesigned for MY2017 (like the Fusion) will get Sync 3 then.

Love that fine print! LOL I thought the 2016 MY was a redesign for the Fusion, guess its the 17 MY. Would have been real interesting if the 15 MY F150 had the new system, that would mean only late model 14's would have MFT.

I have the Flex '16 brochure but it is vague about the MFT and Sync.

Ford Fleet actually had a build-it website and I did build my own '16, then the site vanished.

Shame that the QNX-powered Sync 3 won't be in the Fusion yet... I recall seeing a video that demoed it inside a Fusion :(

Well the shame would be if Ford released the system in the 2016 Fusion and it wasn't ready yet and everyone would have to go through that whole mess all over again, just like in 2011.

I view this as good news because to me that means Applink may just be an update away for 2013+ Fusions with My Ford Touch.

Applink has always been just an update away. But since it's the same people writing the software for Sync 3 as would be writing it for an Applink update, now that they have to spend more time fixing Sync 3 before it's ready, it means that they will get started on the Applink update later.

I gave up hope on MFT Applink a year ago or more. When I was truck shopping I was hoping to find a 13 with Nav because they do have Applink, but the 14 has MFT, so Nav was no longer something I was looking for, although I now know without Nav, no Travel link either.

I am still new to My Ford Touch so my hopes are still up there. I thought the system was done after seeing Sync 3 coming out very soon. The only thing that worries me is they call it My Ford TouchM which could mean it has different hardware. To me it would be a waste for them to release newer hardware for a system that will be replaced the next year so I am hoping it is just an update which is compatible with older models. All I want is Pandora and Spotify controllable from the touch screen and I will be happy.

Once upon a time, I had a rental, because my brand new 2013 FFH had a little software glitch. They gave me an economy model from Chevrolet, and the freaking thing had Pandora. It mocked me the whole time. I still haven't gotten over that experience.

 

Once again, come on Ford, get your act together and roll out AppLink to owners with MFT - you know, the ones who paid you for a more premium, modern interface...

I am looking at the Ford website and it looks like the Applink and MyTouchM is gone. Bummer....
